Each day we get closer to solstice, I am waking up just a few more minutes earlier. I rise with the sun it seems, so this morning I decided to take my coffee by the river. Honestly – I can’t think of a better way to start a day then to wander down to the river in the brisk spring air… cozy up beside a ponderosa pine… and listen to the red wing blackbird harmonize with the Deschutes.

Then stepping out into the cool water, and wading into my favorite run… cast, swing, step, repeat. Closing my eyes, soaking up the feels. After a redside took my fly on a slow retrieve, I decided it was time to go finish my coffee, and flow into the day.

Hope you are all well, and you can find your way to your river too.

Sweet Fumanchu! (and I always enjoy your posts – reminds me to get out into nature too).

Rob! Really great to hear from you. Yes the quaran-stache seems to be a crowd fav 😉 – I was about to shave it off yesterday and my daughter backed me away from the clippers. Getting out in nature I think is so very important now, really more than ever. It has really played a critical role for me over the past 3 months.
