I swung flies in the cold June(?!) rain today. No fish were hooked if you like details such as that. I love the cold rainy weather and the fresh air. Paisley enjoyed some river time too. While we were at the river, our friend Sampson was at the vet having a mass removed.
When we went to the vet to pick Sampson up, we met with the doctor in the exam room where we put our old dog Sierra down years ago. After getting some news about how Sampson might have cancer, I just couldn’t keep the tears back. It has been an emotional week already and the news and the memories hit strong.
Sampson seems to be doing okay tonight. He enjoyed some hand-fed treats, cheese, but no ham plz. And yes to peanut butter. I’m hopeful he’ll be back by the river soon, gnawing on an extra tasty stick… and wallowing in the tall grass.
